You don't need to be fit, flexible or know anything about martial arts before you start. We teach everything from the beginning in a structured and supportive environment.
The course is designed specifically for beginners, so you won't be expected to keep up with experienced students.
We'll introduce the fundamentals step by step, with clear instruction and plenty of opportunity to practise.
No posturing and no intimidation. Just structured Traditional Shotokan Karate taught in a welcoming adult class.
There is no obligation to continue. If you enjoy the course and would like to keep training, you can move straight into our regular adult programme.
