In our little tigers karate classes, we focus on basic punching, blocking, and kicking, providing a safe and supportive environment. Through martial arts training, children develop important life skills such as discipline, focus, and respect for others.

Once Little Tigers are ready, they’ll graduate to Level 1 and proceed through our Academy system. Our comprehensive curriculum and experienced instructors ensure the best possible instruction and support as they progress.

Our Little Tigers karate classes are designed for children aged 4 to 6. If your child is older, we have separate beginner classes for older kids and teenagers.

3. Do children need any prior karate experience?

No prior experience is needed. Our Little Tigers classes are designed for absolute beginners, helping them build focus, balance, and self-discipline step by step.

4. What should my child wear to their first class?

For the first session, your child can wear comfortable sportswear such as a T-shirt and jogging bottoms. Once they continue training, they will need a karate gi (uniform), which we will provide as part of their first month’s training.

8. How often should my child attend karate classes?

For best results, we recommend attending at least once a week. Some students train twice or even three times a week to progress faster.

9. Is karate safe for young children?

Yes. Safety is our top priority. Our classes are designed to be fun, non-contact, and age-appropriate, with a strong focus on control and respect.

10. How much do classes cost?

All our tigers can train up to 3 times a week on one monthly payment. The first month is £50 including a suit and from then on £35 per month. 

11. Where are your Little Tigers karate classes held?

We offer classes at two locations-Tuesday and Thursday at Knole Academy and Saturday at Weald of Kent Grammar School on Seal Hollow Road.

12. How do I prepare my child for their first karate grading?

Encourage your child to:
– Attend classes regularly to practice techniques
– Follow their instructor’s guidance and ask questions
– Stay confident and have fun

13. Can parents watch the classes?

Parenst are able to watch the class from outside the hall but not inside as we find it does distract the children.
